What Did You Read This Weekend?

Happy Monday!

The year may be new…
but our reading habits haven’t changed!

We hope yours haven’t either.

So, here’s what we read…
tell us what kept you entertained!

Ana:  This weekend I read 3 short stories by authors I love.  First, I read Destroy Me (Shatter Me #1.5) by Tahereh Mafi.  I loved the first book and I’m so excited that it’s only 1 month until the second.  So, to celebrate, I read this novella which is focused on Warner.  Wow!  That’s all I can say.  He’s such a broken, intriguing man.  You must read this series!

Secondly, I love the Ondine Quartet series by Emma Raveling so I spent some time reading two short books she recently published.  The first is Chevalier.  This book is the link between second and third  (which I hope will be available soon) books and focuses on Kendra and Julian’s time in NYC.  I love Julian so it was great to have the story focus on him!  The second book is Warrior Prince, a series of scenes from books 1 & 2 written from Tristan’s point of view.  I love understanding how different characters experience things and this gave me great insight into Tristan’s thoughts.  Go get this series, you won’t regret it!

Celeste: I’m totally into the Ultraviolet series by R. J. Anderson. I read Ultraviolet (Ultraviolet #1) and am heavily into Quicksilver (Ultraviolet #2). I will just say it: these books are fabulous and full of mindf*ckery. I love them! I found myself blowing through the pages because I knew Alison could not be crazy. Twists and turns and some romance brewing = win in my book. Stay tuned for my reviews at the end of this week. :)

Amy: I started Sweet Evil (The Sweet Trilogy #1) by Wendy Higgins over the weekend and even though I’m only a third of the way through, I already LOVE this story about Fallen Angels.. I can’t wait to finish and learn more about Anna and bad boy extraordinaire, Kaidan Rowe.. RAWR!

 Happy Reading!

I read the The Willows:Haven by Hope Collier. I really liked the mythology in the story. I do hope that the author will let everyone know WHEN the second book is coming out, if there is one. I started last night, after the GGs and Downton Abby, the latest Naili Singh book, Angels Flight. No one writes about Archangels like she does. :)

I’m reading Through the Ever Night. I love this series. I’m about 60% through the book and the angst is on overload. I really wish there was more kissing but this is a second book so…
