But, soon enough Olivia must face the consequences of her lies, and in the process discover that sometimes love falls short of redemption.
First Thoughts: HOLD ME. For the love of God. Please. I am not sure what to think, but I know I loved it. Should I love Olivia and Caleb? Probably not, but man oh man, I really do.
Plot, Setting, Pacing and Style: Olivia and Caleb are meant to be. Well, at least to me. While they are so right for each other, they are oh so wrong. I don’t care, I neeeeeeed them together. They have both hurt each other so much in the past and gone their separate ways. When Olivia runs into Caleb and finds out he lost his memory, she can’t help but be drawn in again, hoping maybe for just a little more time with him before he finds out they shared a past.
The pacing was good, sometimes a lot of time was skipped, but that just moved the story ahead. This leads right into the style, which was both past and present told from Olivia’s POV. Sometimes I wasn’t sure exactly where we were, but I loved every second of it.
The MCs: Olivia Kaspen is gorgeous, manipulative, and hates herself for it. But she can’t help it. I think that’s why I loved her so much. She pretty much owns her stalkerish ways and some of her actions have consumed her with guilt. If she didn’t have that inner conscience she would never have redeemed herself in my eyes.
Caleb Drake…I don’t even know where to start with him. Totally hot, swoony, and controlling even though he lets Olivia run him. I think? I don’t even know how to describe him, but the whole package was addictive and I wanted him too.
Romance /Chemistry: Off the charts and this was not about sex. The attraction between these two was undeniable and their obsession with each other was almost dangerous. Again, I still couldn’t get enough even though it was bad!!!
Title/Cover: I LOVE ALL OF IT. Perfect and perfect.
Twists and Turns: The whole thing was a twist and my heart couldn’t take it, yet I couldn’t stop reading.
Ending: noooooooooooooooooooo *sobs everywhere*
Gripes/suggestions: I’d have loved a bit more time with Noah, but I get that it didn’t fit in. I think he was pretty swoony, but
my Olivia’s heart still belongs to Caleb.
Final Thoughts/Rec It? A million times yes. I actually don’t even know how I feel, but I have ALL THE FEELS. Brilliant.
