If happily ever after were a place, twenty-year-old Bryn Dawson would be on the farthest planet from it.
Reduced to stolen glances and secret meetings as they await a Betrothal the Council is bent on stalling, William and Bryn have to settle for happily right now, but with a man like William Hayward at her side, Bryn’s hardly settling.
The day John Townsend sends an army of Immortal mercenaries intent on destroying everyone Bryn loves, she must make the decision generations of star-crossed lovers before her have—live alone or die together. William’s made his decision, Bryn’s the one fate’s waiting on.
But fate will only wait so long until it makes the decision for her.
My review: Celeste put this book on her 2nd shelf. Fallen Eden did not disappoint! I knew I would love it and I certainly did. The first book, Eternal Eden, had been a little slow for me for me, but I knew it was to set the scene of this amazing world of Immortals in which I was so attached to Bryn and William. Saying that, I knew this book would be even better as I got deeper into this world; William Hayward is a sexy and dangerous man I loved to read about and it was time for lots of action. And action I got. The book started with Bryn being sad because she and William couldn’t officially be together due to The Council not granting them a union. That didn’t stop them from being in love (their chemistry is fabulous) and it went back to happy. Not to mention the UST. Then it went sad and then happy again (you will see when you read it!). A roller coaster of emotions and I didn’t want to stop. I was sucked in.
While a lot of the story is somewhat predictable, it certainly didn’t stop me from reading because I loved seeing everything play out. I found myself loving so many characters, like Joseph and Cora, but especially Patrick. Oh my! When Bryn picked out an outfit for him I had a huge LOL moment. I cannot wait to see what happens with him in the final book.
Of course every relationship isn’t perfect, but William and Bryn, oooh, sometimes I wanted to shake them for their horrendous communication skills.
It seems obvious what will happen in the final book…Charles is definitely less than honest. That kind of left me so sad when the book ended, so I can’t wait to see what happens to tie up loose ends. I have a feeling I know who is getting paired off. Lots of heartache the entire book but that makes me keep reading because I need to see Bryn and William happy and get some sapphire eyes!!
Then there are other things I would love to know….Why does William’s father, Charles, hate Bryn, why do they all really think William is the chosen one? Is he? I guess we need to wait for book 3 to find out.
Can’t wait for the final book, United Eden, which comes out late September or early October!!
