We’re always looking for that next great read and we’d love to know what books ya’ll read over the weekend! Here’s what’s on our night stands (and keeping us up way past our bedtimes) at the Book Hookup:
Celeste: yes, another dystopian novel! They are like crack to me right now. I read Enclave by Ann Aguirre. Set in an underground society where you only get a name if you live long enough and prove yourself, you are then put into one of three groups. At first I was a little turned off from the filthy-ness of living in tunnels, but it quickly turned around before I could blink my eyes and the book was done in 2 sittings. This book ranks up there with Divergent for me. Yes, that good! _________________________________________________________________________________ Amy: I’m about halfway through Hidden (Marchwood Vampires #1) by Shalini Boland and enjoying it so far. Hidden is a paranormal romance that spans the centuries from modern England to 19th century Paris and ancient Cappadocia. Madison Greene and Alexandre Chevalier’s lives intertwine somehow and I’m looking forward to finding out how! __________________________________________________________________________________
Ana: I’ve just started reading Between by Cyndi Tefft. There’s a plot twist at the very beginning…the kind that is normally saved for book endings, a very likeable main character (Lindsey) and the grim reaper has dimples and a Scottish accent….need I say more? Exactly!
So tell us… What did you read this weekend? We’d LOVE to know!!
