It’s Monday again!!

We were able to sneak in some reading time this weekend!
Were you?

You know how this goes…
we’ll show you ours if you show us yours!!

Tell us what you’re reading!!

Ana:  I started reading Touch(Denazen #1) by Jus Accardo.  Deznee Cross, Dez for short, loves nothing more than to do things t0 make her father angry.  After all, it seems to be the only way to get his attention.  What better way to make him mad than to bring home a boy she met in the woods?  Well, she’s the one in for a surprise.  It seems that her dad knows this strange boy…turns out that he’s kept him prisoner at his “corporation” for years because he’s special…he can kill with a touch.  So now, Dez is afraid of her father and becoming attached to Kale and on the run.  I’m enjoying this book very much.  There’s adventure and romance and some humor as well.  Stay tuned for the full review!!

Christina: This weekend I started The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. After Jag praised it so highly last week and a few commented on how great it was, I had to check out what all the hype was about. I’m thrilled to report that so far, I’ve been held completely spellbound. It’s a different take on dystopian and vampires. In a world ravaged by plagues, the vampires became the masters and humans became cattle (food source). Most gave in to this freely, becoming “registered,” and in return for a monthly bloodletting, they’re allowed to live and were given food. The same can’t be said for the “unregistered.” Those people have refused to become food slaves and thus live a grimy life filled with constant struggles and starvation. Our protagonists, Allie, has chosen the unregistered route, and boy is she fierce. Still, I can’t help but bite my fingernails, and I feel like I’m waiting for the rug to be ripped from beneath her. Something bad is lurking just around the corner. Also, holy hell is that cover not made of pure awesome?!

Celeste: I read Moonlight Mayhem (Spellbound #2) by Sherry Soule. This picked up right where the first book left off so I dove right in. Shiloh Ravenwolf is a witch. In fact, she comes from a long line of witches and is the 13th daughter which means she is there to fulfill a prophecy: her duty is to protect the innocents from all the paranormal activity going on in the town of Whispering Pines, since there is an entrance to Sheol there. While the first book dealt with ghosts and demons, this book deals with another supernatural being…..you’ll just have to read to find out!
