About the Book:

He’s ready for his close up, but she’s the one calling the shots.

On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.

Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she’s one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst…if he even remembers her.

Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he’s sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes—and oh, he does like—but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn’t stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.

But as the shoot nears its end, it’s decision time. Is it time to call, “Cut!” on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?

Warning: Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

Ana will put Take Two on her second shelf!

I’ve read a few Hollywood themed books lately and I must say that this one was, by far, the most well written.  The characters felt real and the situations they were put into were ones I could actually imagine happening in that world.  The writing was smooth and flowed nicely and, even though some of the twists and turns were expected, the story was different than those I’ve recently read…providing a unique perspective on making movies!

I enjoyed the fact that, for the most part, the book took place during a movie shoot.  The idea that the characters were in the industry was concrete.  We saw them at work, in their natural habitat, and learned a little about what it’s like to make movies.  Obviously, the main story was the romance between Maddie and Micah and, therefore, there was quite a bit of steam as well…if you know what I mean!

I loved Micah and Maddie.  She was a strong character who, even when the tough decisions had to be made, took the bull by the horns and did what had to be done.  Now, this doesn’t mean she didn’t feel confused or scared or spend time feeling sorrow about some of the situations but it did mean that I could count on her to be a strong hero.  Micah was, as we all expect from a Hollywood hot-shot, a slick, sexy character.  However, underneath it all, he was scared of committing to a relationship and afraid of losing all he’d worked for.  He had a bit more trouble making those tough choices…but I still fell for his charms!  They were a perfect pair!

Overall, this was a fun, quick read with likeable characters and a good plot.  The writing was very good and I was very happy with the ending.  If you’re looking for a book that will put a smile on your face, this one will definitely do it.

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
