We’re celebrating the release of
You and Everything After by Ginger Scott!
About the Book:
Title: You and Everything After (Falling #2)
Author: Ginger Scott
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release date: December 5, 2014
I’m that teenaged girl who has MS. You haven’t met me, but you’ve seen me around. You probably know my sister. We’re twins, and she’s the pretty one. Maybe you’ve heard about my reputation, how much I like to hook up at parties—how easy it is to get me in bed, get what you want, and forget about me after.
Forget what you think you know. I’m leaving that girl behind.
College is all about new beginnings. So from now on—I’m just Cass. And the rest…it isn’t written yet. And no one else gets to write my story for me.
——–“Tyson Preeter doesn’t do can’t.”
That’s exactly what I want people to think when they see me. I am strong, invincible, confident, intelligent—arrogant. I’m the man who always finds a way around, over and through—until there’s nothing left. Since losing my ability to walk six years ago, I’ve relearned life. I don’t need sympathy. I don’t want charity. And I don’t do love.
It’s better this way, saves my disappointments for me, and me alone, and it saves my strength for everything I want.
But Cass Owens is about to wreck everything. She’s about to steal all of my strength away from me, because she needs it more. She’s about to break all of my rules, and break down all of my walls. She’s about to own me…completely.
And I’m about to let her.
Ana will put You and Everything After on her Top Shelf!!!
5 “I’m in love with Ty Preeter” Stars!!!
Part of what I loved about the first book in this series, This is Falling, was the secondary characters. They were a big part of the story and the author told us just enough about them to make them intriguing. At the end, I wanted more. So, imagine my joy at learning that two of my favorites, Ty and Cass, were going to get their own story. Let me tell you that I had huge expectations for this book…and it more than exceeded them! Ty and Cass’ story was treated with such care and tenderness, sprinkled with just a bit of humor, and anchored with hope and romance…in short, it was perfect!!
Both Ty and Cass are dealing with their own battles. Ty is wheelchair bound due to an accident and Cass has MS. But, neither of them wants to be looked at as different and neither will accept second best or settle for less than what they want. I love that they are both fighters, both determined to get everything out of life, and both willing to risk everything for what matters. Let me be clear, this is not a book about simply dealing with disease or disability, this is a book about looking those things in the eye and pushing them forcefully out of the way of your happiness. As the story progresses, these two become one another’s strength, motivators and hope. Their chemistry was through the roof and the romance made my heart go pitter-patter often! Their banter made me laugh and their inner dialogues often had me sighing with contentment. I couldn’t get enough of these two!! And, ya, I must admit that Ty had me swooning more than once with his infectious humor, his big heart and his perfect words. And, I should also let you know that I did claim him via Twitter…so back off, ladies, he’s mine!!
This story runs simultaneously with the first book so, not only do we get to experience Ty and Cass, we also get some more insight into what was happening with Nate and Rowe, seeing their story from a different angle. We also get more information on Cass’ sister, Paige, a character that I’m interested in learning more about. Even though the stories from books 1 and 2 take place over the same time period, they feel completely different. It’s like the author is giving us the ability to explore these relationships from all angles. And I hope she doesn’t stop. I want to move in with these characters and stay there for a good, long time!
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!!! It’s a book about hope, about perseverance, about being true to what you want, about fighting the good fight, about letting go of the past and embracing the future…and It’s a book about the importance of love. What more do you need? Run, don’t walk (or let your one-click finger do its job)…this is a fabulous read you’ll want to get your hands on!
