Ana will put Surviving Ice on her second shelf!!

Surviving Ice is a great addition to the addictive Burying Water series. Another great mystery…more intriguing characters…and, of course, a great romance to fall in love with.  This story had my interest from the very beginning and I was treated to the wonderful writing and emotional storytelling that I’ve grown accustomed to from Ms. Tucker.

Although they’re all different, I’ve loved every character in this series.  And Ivy and Sebastian are no different!  Ivy is a no-nonsense, smart, fierce tattoo artist who’s filled with wanderlust and seeks adventure.  She’s actually considering putting down roots in San Francisco when we first meet her in this story.  However, her Uncle’s murder changes those thoughts.  She just needs to sell his shop and his home and then she’ll be on the road again.  Or so she thinks.  In walks Sebastian, a serious, handsome, strong and quiet stranger and, all of a sudden, things begin to look different.  What Ivy doesn’t now is that he’s there for a purpose…to find an incriminating video tape that belonged to her Uncle.  He’s there to work…and she is part of his job.  As a former SEAL, his air of mystery is very intriguing to Ivy (and me!!) and I enjoyed how she affected him as he tried to stick to his tasks.  He’d never experienced a connection on any of his jobs but with Ivy everything changes and I really enjoyed the back and forth between the intrigue, mystery and romance.  Their connection and chemistry was strong and I was glad to be able to experience this from both their POV’s.

I definitely recommend this book (and this series).  Ms. Tucker’s writing style makes reading her books effortless and her characters manage to win over the reader’s heart every time.  If you haven’t read any of her books, go ahead and start with this one.  Although it’s part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone.  But, believe me when I say that you probably won’t stop at just reading one book!
