Celeste: 5 angsty, heart clenching, beautiful stars stars I loved this. Absolutely loved. I was up until 1 am reading, then couldn’t stop thinking about the story for the rest of the night…so yeah, I got zero sleep, but it was so very worth it.

I loved the way this story made me feel. The words flowed and made magic and were so effortless. The way the connection spoke to my heart. Ben and Fallon shared a spark that that was physical, emotional, as true as the sky is blue. It just was meant to be and they both realized it, felt it, lived it…yet were crushed by it. Let me tell you…I lived this relationship as much as they did. I ran the circuit of angst, fist pumping, kindle throwing feelings. And I loved and relished all of it. The good, the bad, the heart wrenching, the heart fluttering.

Why were they crushed? Fallon had scars and rules and Ben had secrets. Let’s first talk about Fallon. So please know I loved this story, and I loved Fallon, but so many times I was so upset with the choices she made. She frustrated me on several occasions.  She really hurt Ben, and she hurt him deeply. And that hurt made me hurt. She might not have meant to destroy him as much as she did, but she did and it was hard to read. My heart broke and shattered into a million pieces. I think because I knew that Fallon could have prevented that. However, she was damaged, but over time she grew stronger, she changed, and became a more confident version of herself. She lived through the bad decisions, and I can probably admit that it did shape her in the end. I ultimately loved her fiercely too, even with her flaws. And, she was absolutely beautiful.

Ben. Oh Ben I love you so much and you captured my heart right from the start. It’s true, my friends. Let me tell you why. He was tortured and brooding and had a secret that was eating him alive. He also loved truly and wore his heart on his sleeve. I absolutely loved and swooned over him. He was strong, he was just the right amount of confident to be sexy, and he was devoted.

The romance was intense. Now, I would have absolutely broken down and cheated and made contact before November 9. I guess these two were just stronger than I would be. It was just the right amount of insanely delicious kisses that eventually led to the good stuff…patience was a virtue in this and the reader really did have to wait, but boy oh boy was it worth it.

Other characters in this story also evoked some pretty strong feelings. Fallon’s father, Ben’s mother and Ben’s sister in law, Jordyn. I changed my feelings about her dad, really found myself furious with Ben’s mom, and am not sure what I felt for Jordyn by the end, but I think I liked her and if there were ever a spin off story I’d love to see her in it.

Plot twists. So there was a few surprises that I didn’t see coming. I knew there was *something* but not things, and I couldn’t have predicted. But you know what made it so good? The twists totally came together. Sometimes we get thrown a wrench just so the author can shock you. But this wasn’t a twist for the sake of a twist, it was a surprise that was woven into the story so beautifully that in the end it could never have worked out any other way. Ms. Hoover has a gift for writing.

Rec this? YES. If you are a human who reads and has any type of heart this is a must for your TBR!

Happy reading!

Ana: 5 oh my aching heart stars!

I’m going to keep this short and simple.  And, as a matter of fact, I suggest you give up reading this review right now and just go get the book.  But, if you’re still here let me just tell you that I couldn’t love this story any more than I do.  It’s simply not possible!

Everything about this book was perfect…the heartache, the angst, the joy, the love, the twists and turns…perfect!  I felt this story with every part of the my being.  And so, my poor heart was broken, shattered, and sliced open more than once.  It ached for these beautiful characters and it bled for their pain.  I got misty…I shed tears.  Yet, so many times, my heart beat with joy and raced with excitement.  I felt light, I embraced their love and happiness.  I guess that what I’m trying to say is that this story is a roller coaster, one that I can not easily do justice to with just a few simply words.

This was truly a masterpiece – perhaps Ms. Hoover’s best yet!  And, although I know I haven’t told you much, I’ve done it by design.  This is a story that you need to experience, one that you need to spend time with, one that you’ll not soon forget.  Trust me, Ben and Fallon need to be part of your life!

Oh…and one last thing…this is the tweet that I sent out after I finished this book.  Just so you know what to expect…

Dear books I’m about to read…I feel bad for you.
