Summary from Goodreads: He knows how to score, on and off the ice…
Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.
It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over
Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to befriends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

- Ana and Christina thought this title was fantastic. Find out why…

• Quick Thoughts and Rating •
♥ Ana: *Oh how I love you Dean Di Laurentis*! I thought I knew what to expect in this book…I was sure of it…but, dang, there was so much more here than I ever imagined!!!
♥ Christina: I’m such a sucker for humor; I just am. So, for me, one of the ways to measure the merit of a good book is if it can make me laugh. I literally cackled no less than a dozen times in this novel, so yeah… If you loved Garrett (book one), then I really think Dean is going to knock your socks off. The Score is packed full of heart, hilarity, and a lot of hotness, I can’t recommend it enough.
• The Rest of our Flails…ummmm…opinions! •
♥ Ana: Humour, angst, sexy times, feels…it’s all here! I’ve loved every bit of this series and now it’s time for Dean Di Laurentis to work his magic. And that he does. Dean is not only a master player but a master of the one-liners as well. He had me laughing out loud with his crude humour and unabashed attempts to seduce Allie. I love that he’s not just a sexy hockey player though, he’s also an intelligent man who wants to pave his own way through life. It would be so easy for him to fall pray to being the ultimate spoiled rich brat but he’s determined to accomplish things on his own. Dean made my heart flutter in so many ways, with is humour, his love for his friends and for Allie, and his adventurous style…but it was his interactions with the Hurricanes and Dakota that melted my heart every time! Homework time with Dakota just…*sigh*…it did things to me!
I suppose I should tell you a bit about Allie as well. She’s a relationship kind of girl and her attraction to Dean, the anti-relationship guy, is totally out of her comfort zone. Yet, she can’t help herself – and I don’t blame her! She’s trying to move forward from a bad breakup and thinks a fling with Dean may be the best way to get over it. Of course, little does she know that once he sees that Dean is not what he seems to be, she’ll want more. She’s an intelligent, sassy character who finds the strength to live life her way. Their road to happiness is paved not only with fun and sexy times but also with sadness, heartbreak, and family obligations. The way these two deal with these setbacks and with each other is what gives depth to this story.
This book had me laughing, sighing, and even brought a tear to my eyes. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Kennedy has for us next…especially since we’re given a very good clue at the end of this book about who may be starring in the next edition. I think the next book will be a doozy but between now and then I’ll just dream of Dean!!
♥ Christina: *nod nod* Yeah, what Ana said. *drops mic and walks away* Okay, seriously though, Ana made pretty much every point I wanted to make, though my thoughts are a little more jumbled and hers is better formatted. So, the short of it is: roll with what Ana said, you shouldn’t need more than that to know that you should be grabby-handing all over the place for this one.
At this point, Elle Kennedy and this series feel like a sure thing, and I know I’ll be clamoring for the next installment every time. (No pressure or anything, Ms. Kennedy, but um, write faster? I kid…sorta.) Though I adored Logan in book two, I was still holding on to this immense love that I had for Garrett, but…but, I think Dean just nudged him out of the top spot. (OMG, WHAT AM I SAYING?!) I can’t help it, though. I truly believe that Dean was the full package (heh). The guy is straight-up my apparent kryptonite: easy on the eyes, full of charm, intelligent, adores working with kids, ambitious, prides himself on his own worth/work and not his family money/name, and he was just so damn funny. Plus, this dude knows books. There may have been an in-depth Twilight conversation that endeared me forever to Dean. There’s no way around it, I totally fell hard for him. I’m talking one-way ticket to Swoonsville. But not just that, I think I fell for Allie, too. That girl had a spunk about her, but also an innate vulnerability that made her character effortlessly likable/relatable. I could easily see myself being besties with her. The combination of these two together? Fugetaboutit. It was perfection. There was an ease in their comfort with one another and the chemistry between them–including hella sexual tension–made their transition from hookup buddies to significant other feel like the most natural thing in the world. I was rooting for these two like you wouldn’t believe from their very first interactions, which were hilarious.
As for the story itself, it moved along so smoothly. I loved how each character really had their own story arc to traverse, but they interwove seamlessly and really progressed the novel at a perfect pace. There was an unexpected moment of sadness in this book that really broke my heart–seriously, it still feels very tender–but I like the character growth that came out of it. Furthermore, we get the whole gang from the previous novels in all their couple-y glory, and it was amazing! As I stated earlier, I’ve come to expect nothing short of amazing when diving into the books of this series, and from how this one ended and if it was a hint at what book is to come, I need it like, um, well…if I had it yesterday, it still wouldn’t be soon enough. Do yourself a favor and dive into the Off-Campus series, but especially this one. (Though, please note, there’s a lot of (great) sex and (awesome) foul-mouthed wordiness, and if that isn’t your jam or if you’re too young and shouldn’t be reading it, you should probably steer clear.)
And now if you don’t like quote teasers, look away because I’m about to include some of the comedy gold that’s in this novel.
“You’re going about this the wrong way, you know. The best way to get over someone is to hook up with someone else. ASAP.”
“His words jolt me out of my butt-ogling. “I’m not ready to be with anyone else yet.”
“Sure you are. Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”
A laugh flies out. “Dream on.”

I frown at him. “Why is your arm around me?”
His expression is all innocence. “This is how I watch movies.”
“Really? So you put your arm around Garrett when you watch movies with him?”
“Absolutely. And if he’s nice to me, sometimes I slide my hand down his pants.” Dean’s other hand skims down to the waistband of my leggings. “Be nice to me, and I promise I’ll be even nicer in return.”

“Awww, look at him, G, he’s so precious when he’s sleeping.”
“Like an angel.”
“A really slutty angel.”
“Wait–do angels even get laid? And if so, are heaven orgasms a million times better than earth orgasms? I bet yes.”
“Uh-doy. Where do you think rainbows come from? Whenever you see a rainbow, that means an angel just came.”
“Ah. Makes sense. Sort of like how whenever a bell rings, an angels gets its wings.”
“Exactly like that.”
I crank one eye open and direct it toward the doorway. “I can hear you, you know.”
My annoyed voice puts an end to the most bizarre conversation I’ve ever heard. “Oh good, you’re up,” Logan says.
“Of course I’m up,” I grumble, rubbing my eyes. “How am I supposed to sleep when you two fucktards are standing at the foot of my bed talking about angels blowing their loads?”
Garrett snickers. “Like I’m the first one to ever wonder about that.”

♥ A very special thanks to Elle Kennedy and her publicist, Nina, for providing us with an advanced copy of this title in exchange for our honest review.
Full of giggles, flails, snark and Southern endearments. Avid Reader. Lover of swoony boys, kickass heroines, yummy kissing scenes, and pretty prose.
I like to draw hearts in the sky (eternal optimist) and wish on stars (forever dreamer). Documentaries, sweet tea, sleep, and brightly colored knee-socks are a few of my favorite things. ♥
