As the oldest son of a Chicago crime lord, Robert Delgado always knew how dangerous life could be. With his mother dead and his father in prison, he’s taking charge of his family’s safety—putting himself and his siblings in witness protection to hide out in a backwater Florida town.

Fourth grade teacher Adri Wilson is worried about the new boy in her class. Sherm is quiet and evasive, especially when he’s around his even cagier older brother. Adri can’t help her attraction to Rob, or the urge to help them both in whatever way she can.

But the Delgados have enemies on two sides of the mob—their father’s former crew and the rival family he helped take down. It’s only a matter of time before someone finds them. And if Rob isn’t careful, Adri could end up in the crossfire…

**I received an advance copy of this from the publisher,
but that did not influence the review**

4 *I wanna do naughty things with Rob Delgado* stars  Le sigh. I am saying Robert Delgado out loud right now because it just rolls off my tongue. I can’t even think of a better name for him. In a nutshell: Rob is sexy dangerous thing, Adri is naive (and sometimes she came across as a busy body), the romance ended up awesome and the storyline itself was outstanding. All in all a great, fast paced, action packed story with a hot romance and mob drama…I loved it!

I am addicted to mafia stories. I really, really am. This one didn’t disappoint…it had the blackmailing, the double crossings, the violence, the money, the sexy men, the hit men, I could go on. I devoured that part of it. I thought for a while it was clear what would happen, I thought I knew where alliances stood, but I was wrong and I loved that!

So now that you know I loved the story itself, let’s talk about the MCs: Rob and Adri. Rob almost immediately said Adri was his kryptonite. Eep, I mean, he barely met the woman…so initially it didn’t work for me and felt like insta-love. I don’t mind insta-lust, but I’m just not a fan of insta-love. He said he wanted to tell her things, but they had hardly even spoken at all, it was just her look that got under his skin…which made the chemistry feel forced. Don’t get me wrong, I liked him and I liked her, and I did want them together, but at a more natural pace.

However, once I kept reading and Rob and Adri did develop a relationship, I found that the chemistry really grew on me. Adri’s feelings towards Rob’s were a little more believable than his towards her in the beginning, but eventually it evened out and I sat back and enjoyed it even though it happened in such a short time frame.

The sex was hot and that insta-lust I could get on board with. I did kind of raise my eyebrow at all the naked-ness on the beach. Frankly, it seemed like it happened ALL THE TIME. Weren’t they cold? People could see from the window?!? They weren’t even under a blanket half the time. But besides that it was smoking and the kindle was burning up, but that could have been from the dirty talk coming out of Rob’s delicious mouth…guess you will have to read to find out.

I have to applaud Ms. Desrochers for secondary plots and characters. She truly out did herself. There were multiple sub plots going on and I can honestly say I loved every single one. And I want a book about every single one. Please and thank you. I liked what was happening with the youngest sibling, Sherm. There is so much more than meets the eye with him, and I enjoyed watching him come out of his shell. Then there’s Chuck. Oh man he is full of mystery, and naughtiness, and serious damaged goods…gah, I want to know all about him! Then there’s the other Delgado siblings. I love all of them. I’m hoping (and assuming) the rest of the series they each get their own book.

The ending was great, while it was on a quiet note, there is SO MUCH MORE and the mystery is still there. I am assuming that the family is still on edge and we will get more answers as we get to the next installment. I can’t wait!

Rec this? YES! If you love a sexy mafia romance with plenty of danger that will have you looking over your shoulder the whole time, this is a fantastic addition to your TBR. A great start to a new series!

Happy reading!
