Synopsis: Haley Mitchell is tired of moping. With her broken heart repaired with a thick layer of duct tape, she’s ready to put her ex behind her and move on. After a chance encounter in a club, she’s convinced she’s met Mr. Perfect. But when he accidentally gives her the wrong number, the stranger on the other end of her texts becomes her confidant.

Kyle Lawson has always had more luck with computers than women. So when the new temp, Haley, arrives, he has the misfortune of falling for her, only to land firmly in the friend zone. But when he learns the mysterious woman he’s been texting is actually Haley, he keeps the entire thing a secret.

As things move straight from platonic to decidedly hot, Kyle must come clean about his secret texting identity and risk losing the woman he’s fallen in love with.

4 sweet stars This was a really fun, quick and swoony read…mostly because of sexy Kyle Lawson. This was about two people falling in love, and while sometimes it was adorably awkward…it was always totally right. I was rooting for them the whole time as their chemistry started the moment they met.

I really liked Haley and I really loved Kyle. Both of them were smart, successful and fun. They were both attractive yet each felt shy and a little insecure for reasons we find out as we read. I embraced their weaknesses and flaws and enjoyed as they fell in love. They built each other up and together they were fantastic. And let’s face it…Kyle was the stuff book boyfriends are made from. Yummmmmmmm.

The secondary characters were ok, and only one of them hooked me so that’s a plus in my book. I’d like to get to know Kyle’s brother more…he was the only one that had a story that I’d like to read about. Haley’s friends were fine, they didn’t annoy me, but they also didn’t add anything to the story. Maybe because they already have their HEA. I like baggage and secrets.

The cover led me to believe this was a bit of a sexier story. Yes, there was sexy times but it was mostly sweet, with a great lead up to all the kissy times. Then when it finally did happen, they couldn’t keep their hands to themselves and it made me smile from the inside out. It was totally worth the wait!

The idea with Kyle’s being Haley’s secret texter was cute, but didn’t really even need to be in the story. It threw a bit of a wrench in and was just a little too coincidental for me to believe. However, I went with it and while I could predict how it would play out I still liked it. Both Kyle and Haley were still mature enough not to create more drama and they were finally able to cross the finish line to get their HEA. Yay!

Rec this? Yes! If you like a sweet romance that makes your heart flutter this is a great addition to your TBR.

Happy reading!
