When Kate Watts abandoned her law career to open a food pantry in Northeast Minneapolis, she never dreamed it would be this difficult. Facing the heartbreaking prospect of turning hungry people away, she is grateful for the anonymous donations that begin appearing at the end of each month. Determined to identify and thank her secret benefactor, she launches a plan and catches Ian —a charismatic hacker with a Robin Hood complex—in the act. Ian intrigues Kate in a way no man ever has. But after learning he’s snooped around on her personal computer, she demands retribution. Impressed with her tolerance and captivated by her spirit, he complies and begins to slowly charm his way past her defenses. Time spent with Ian is never boring, and Kate soon finds herself falling for the mysterious hacker.

But Ian has enemies and they’re growing restless. In the hacking world, exploiting a target’s weakness is paramount, and no price is too high to stop an attack. And when Kate learns exactly how much Ian has paid, she’ll discover just how strong her love is for the man who has hacked his way into her heart.

Such a fun, sexy, book with a unique premise and characters I really enjoyed!  Ian, a hacker by trade, fancies himself a modern-day Robin Hood and Kate, and ex-lawyer who now runs a charity food pantry, may appear very different from each other on the outside but, in reality, they’re more alike than they think.  Both crave adventure and challenge…both want to help people and do good where they can.  Together they could be great…but being together could prove to be challenging!

I have to say that Ian needed to work hard to win me over.  But, just as he captivated Kate, he charmed me as well.  Normally, I’d be a bit creeped out by a guy who hacked into a girl’s computer, checked out her web history and gathered intimate knowledge about her Victoria’s Secret shopping cart.  And I was at first.  I wasn’t sure that Ian was the kind of hero I liked to read about.  But from their very first interactions…and thanks to his bold and honest banter, I quickly changed my mind.  It turned out that Ian was quite sweet and I fell hook, line and sinker right along with Kate.  Their playful exchanges were fun to watch and their romance sizzled.  Kate may have trusted a bit too quickly but, really, what choice did she have when faced with this attractive, sexy man.

Of course, it’s not all wine and chocolate covered strawberries.  Just when all seems right with the world, their lives are turned upside down and each needs to decide the next steps.  Will their love stay strong, can they continue to trust…will this be forever?  The story had me hooked…I needed to find out!  Overall, this was a quick read that had me smiling, giggling, and even a bit misty.  I enjoyed Kate and Ian’s story and will definitely want to read what happens to them next!
