The one guy she can’t have is the one she can’t forget.
Liam Quinn is one of the biggest movie stars in the world…and the only man Elissa Holt has ever truly loved.
After being out of her life for six years, he and his gorgeous fiancé are set to star in the new Broadway show Elissa is stage managing. The only trouble is, when late night rehearsals bring Elissa and Liam together, the line between what is and what could have been gets blurred. Now one moment of weakness is about to create a scandal that will echo around the world.
Elissa knows that falling for Liam again would be a tragedy in the making, but as any good romantic knows, love doesn’t always follow the script.
1 million trillion bajillion kajillion stars. This story took my breath away.
Romantic. Hot. Swoony. Surprising. Those are some of the first words that come to mind. Hold me, I need a moment to collect myself and my thoughts….
I want to tell you I read this in one sitting…but I didn’t. Why? Because it was so good I had to put my kindle down to clutch my heart and fully feel every emotion that I was having. I had to stop. I had to force myself to slow down and really savor every. single. glorious. word. My friends, this book was amazing.
Liam Quinn. He is a great place to start, finish and everything in between. Oh my, I can’t even. From the very second I met him, the second Liss met him…I was totally, 100%, undeniably in love. He was confident, I’m telling you – it oozed out of him. He was an adonis, an absolute specimen of a man. But he was also human and he loved, he had flaws, he had sorrow and he had regrets. That is what really made me love. He was unbelievably honest about how he felt, and Liss felt it, I felt it. MY GOD, it was love at first sight.
Liss too, she was amazing. This story was told only in her POV and it was perfection. She was gorgeous, but never thought so herself. She loved so very deeply it was impossible not to feel the same way. She was also pretty darn funny. I found (on more than one occasion) myself choked up with tears threatening to fall, but soon enough Liss would push through it and carry on….then I’d be laughing. She was the perfect heroine. I wanted to be her, I wanted to be her best friend.
The secondary cast was also amazing. They were absolutely not filler characters. They were rich and developed and I want to read their story. I was supposed to hate Angel, but I didn’t. I couldn’t believe Liss liked her…so you know what that means? That I had to like Angel as well. She was sweet and an absolute riot. Josh was awesome. I loved all his sexual innuendos and her inner hot nerd. Gah, it’s a serious love fest here, my friends.
The sex was freaking ridonkulous. It was on fiyahhhhh. Chemistry from the get go that made me giddy. That’s all you need to know. It’s all there; there’s a slow burn, there’s naughty-ness. Have time set aside to read this because you will need to roll around and bask in all things Liss and Liam.
I read this expecting a good story, but I didn’t expect the depth and how utterly invested I became. It’s not often a story genuinely makes me so emotional, and boy oh boy, was I emotional. I also didn’t expect parts of it to go the way they did. Some of it came out of left field, but it was genius and it made me fall a little bit in love with Ms. Rayven.
The ending was perfection. It wasn’t rushed, it was just right and it was totally them.
This is the first book I have read by Leisa Rayven, and well, now I must go back and see what I was missing with the frist two books in the series. Yes, this can be read as a stand alone, but with characters so rich I have to know everyone and everything there is to know about this series.
Rec this? YES! A truly romantic story that will touch you deeply. I hope if you add this to your TBR you enjoy it as much as I did.
