She’s good at achieving her goals…
College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.
But the game just got a whole lot more complicated
Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist.
♥ Quick Thoughts and Rating:
Ana: 5+++++ Stars!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tucker!!! I would also say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Elle Kennedy but that may sound a bit creepy (even though it’s true) so I’ll just admit to being in love with her writing!
Christina: ALL THE STARS, but I guess I’ll settle for 5! *tosses a universe worth of them at Tucker* With each new book and couple that Ms. Kennedy introduces in this NA series, I don’t think she can get any better and then they do and she does, and somehow I’m never surprised. I freaking loooove this series! Love. It. Tucker is ideal book boyfriend (life goals, much?) perfection.
Ana: Oh Tucker…everyone should have a Tucker in their lives. He’s sexy, swoony, strong, sweet, and all the other “S” words I can’t think of right now. I go into every one of the books in this series knowing that I’ll claim the main character is my favorite…first Garrett won my heart, then Logan took it from him, then Dean smuggled it away from Logan and ran away with it…and I thought I couldn’t love anyone more than him. But, she’s done it again. Ms. Kennedy has brought us Tucker and, with his sweet disposition, patient soul, and dirty mouth, I couldn’t help but give him my heart willingly! I guess I should pull myself away from Tucker for a minute and tell that his and Sabrina’s story is full of emotion. And, because I love love, this story plays right into my wheelhouse. The romance here feels real. There are struggles, misunderstandings, and challenges, but there are also quiet moments, and situations that make your heart flutter. Add to that friendships between all the characters in the series and this book, like the others, was unputdownable (yes, it’s a word!).
Christina: This book and Tucker were all the glorious sexiest, funniest, most adorable, swooniest perfection that I’ve come to expect not only from this series, but from Ms. Elle Kennedy in general. Without going into specifics for spoilerish reason, I’ll say that I absolutely loved this book. I think this author manages to rack up so many 5-star reviews because her characters always feel fully fleshed out, authentic and relatable, the romance comes across as effortless and evolving naturally, and she captures real life in all its ups and downs so easily, taking us on an adventure of two people learning who they are and finding a deep, true love. More than that, though, she excels at pulling us in with those moments in-between the big ones–flirty fun instances shared among almost strangers, genuine friendships, and excellent dialogue.
♥ Teaser Quote: There were soooooo many noteworthy quotes that could have been included here. Warning for a bit of graphic, yet ridiculously UNF-y language.
“I know.” He looks smug. “I hate to tell you this, Sabrina. But you’ve made a big mistake.”
His fingers draw my thong tight, the fabric cutting into my swollen lips. “Because I’m going to ruin you for all future guys. I apologize in advance.”

♥ Rec It?
Ana: Heck YES!! You are missing something special if you don’t get to know Tucker…if you don’t get to know all the characters in this book…if you don’t spend time immersed in this series. Trust me, you will love every minute of it!!
Christina: Abso-freaking-lutely, one hundred percent yes! I’m recommending this author, this series, and without question, this book forever and always! Tucker is officially invited to the party in my pants! He doesn’t have to worry about wearing his, though, if you know what I’m saying and I think you do!

Full of giggles, flails, snark and Southern endearments. Avid Reader. Lover of swoony boys, kickass heroines, yummy kissing scenes, and pretty prose.
I like to draw hearts in the sky (eternal optimist) and wish on stars (forever dreamer). Documentaries, sweet tea, sleep, and brightly colored knee-socks are a few of my favorite things. ♥
