About the Book:

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit…and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Review:

5 Stars!!

Henry is mine…Henry is mine…Henry is mine!

I know I made this claim after reading the first book, after what was just a small glimpse of Henry.  And perhaps it seemed a bit premature at that time.  But, let me tell you, after reading this book I’m so very glad I staked my claim!  Henry’s story grabbed me by the heart and held on tight.  It was everything I wanted and more.  Ms. Chase has once again woven a story so delicious that I could easily read it again and again…and I likely will.

Oh gosh, we haven’t spoken about Henry in at least two sentences so let’s get back to our priorities.   I love how charming, sweet, fun, unconventional, and sexy he is.  But, I also love that Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook is carrying the world on his shoulders yet he’s strong enough to work through his issues at his own speed and in his own way…fighting to be himself before he becomes something else…King.  He’s battling the expectations of his family and his country against his need to be true to himself.  His wild-boy side wants desperately to escape the mold that everyone is trying to make him fit into…and participating in reality tv show is his way of escaping the future, if only for a little while.  Of course, the experience isn’t quite what he expects and, when Sarah enters the picture, everything changes.

Sarah is a smart, shy girl who’s happy to remain in the background with her books.  She’s only involved with this show because of her sister’s desire to participate, and her hope is to remain out of the spotlight and, as a bonus, avoid a situation at work that’s worrying her as well.  She has a distinct idea of what she wants her life to be and what her perfect love would look like.  Henry doesn’t match the image of the ideal mate she’s carried with her for years.  Yet, their chemistry is undeniable, and he has a way of pushing her limits.  He makes her braver and, certainly, more happy than she has ever imagined.  Together, they discover the best in each other.

The romance in this story is swoony…if you love love like I do, this book is for you.  The slow burn and the push and pull of their very different personalities is perfect and their banter is wonderful…full of smart quips, juicy innuendo, and sweet exploration.  This book made me smile, it made me sigh, it had me laughing, and it made my heart happy…and it might have made me fan myself a time or two.  Trust me, you want to add this book (actually, this series) to your TBR.  If you don’t, you’ll be missing something special.  Go forth and enjoy…

But remember…Henry is mine!!
