From the NYT Bestselling author of MISTER O, comes a sexy new standalone romance…

Let me count the ways why falling into forbidden love is not my wisest move…1. She works with me every single day.Did I mention she's gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart?2. She works in my home.Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means…3. She's the nanny. And that makes her completely off-limits…But it doesn’t stop me from wanting her. All of her.

***

The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.

I can't risk my job for a chance at something more…can I? But I don’t know how to resist him much longer either…

Once again Lauren Blakely makes me swoon, laugh, and sigh.  This sweet story about a single Dad and his forbidden attraction to the Nanny brought all the feels and captured my heart.  This is definitely a feel-good story and, as it turns out, exactly what I needed.  Page after page, I couldn’t help but smile, laugh, and get giddy over Simon and Abby’s story.

Simon is sexy, swoony and sweet.  He has a big heart and a caring soul.  As a single Dad, Simon must deal with a horrible ex-wife, managing his career, and also looking after his daughter.  And the fact that he puts his daughter above all was absolutely heart-melting.  Their interactions and the amount of care and concern he showed for her made him feel very real to me…he’s a father who absolutely adores his daughter.  But, as a man, Simon had needs as well.  And he’s set his sights on Abby.  He’s torn because Abby is so good with his daughter and he doesn’t want to ruin that…but his feelings for her are intense.  Abby is a smart, strong woman who’s able to balance several careers and still manages to hide her attraction to Simon.  Their chemistry was through the roof and I loved watching their push and pull.  There was a lot at stake here and they both knew it, making this story somewhat serious at times.  But these two were destined to be together and the anticipation of the romance was awesome.

This quick, fun read was everything I wanted and needed.  I loved the story line, the characters and the romance.  Hearing the story in dual POV was a treat and the epilogues were perfect.  Ms. Blakely continues to give me love stories that are light on angst and drama, and heavy on what I really want…romance.  Trust me, you definitely want to get to know this author and her books!

  1. Ohhh 5 stars! I always get excited every time I see a 5 star rating. lol! I shouldn’t be surprised when it’s a Lauren Blakely book tho, I guess. Everyone is always raving about her books. I STILL haven’t gotten to read one, but I picked up a freebie last week so hopefully I can change that soon! And yay for low angst! lol Great review!
