Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.
And that his best friend has a crush on me.
And that I just moved in with them.
Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?
I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?
He knows where to find me.
*Note: This book was provide to The Book Hookup by the Author’s Publicist but that did not in any way influence this review!
A relationship between opposites Colin Fitzgerald (aka Fitzy) and Summer Heyward-Di Laurentis shouldn’t work…unless their story is told within the pages of a book written by Elle Kennedy, in which case it sizzles with a slow-burning romance and shines by the glow of the reader’s happy heart. Fitzy and Summer couldn’t be more different. But, as they say, opposites attract. And, no matter how much Fitz thinks and re-thinks about it, it’s inevitable.

|Brooding level of the hero|
Once again Ms. Kennedy has given me a story that’s put a smile on my face and made my love-loving heart jump up and down with joy! These two characters were perfect apart and together. Summer battled the misconceptions of others and her own insecurities but, through it all, managed to be fierce. She knew what she wanted and battled for it head on. Fitz, the drama-hating jock didn’t stand a chance! Although he tried to stay away and use logic to manage his feelings for Summer, it was his heart that eventually won out. After all, the heart wants what it wants! Fitz was sweet and sexy and swoonworthy. Together these two had chemistry that was through the roof! This is exactly the story I was hoping to read and a great beginning to a new series.
As always, the characters and situations that the author creates are fun but also contain a depth to them that make them feel real. The obstacles they face are those that could happen to your friends or family and they endear the characters to the readers all the more. The writing is fantastic and the secondary characters are wonderful. I can’t wait to see who’s story is told next so I hope that Ms. Kennedy is busy writing because I, for one, am already anxiously waiting book 2!
