The only reason Lauren entered the Hashtag Hunt was for the $10,000 grand prize. She needed seed money for her startup, and it sounded easy enough: twelve hours to text twelve photos to someone called the Wizard. For hashtag number five, Lauren needs a #HottieInTheWild, and with the help of her best friend, Ivy, she finds the perfect subject.

The only reason Brenner entered Barkley’s Pub was to have beers with Scott, an Army brother back in town. The reunion is interrupted when a woman is caught crouched in a dark corner, taking pictures of Brenner. Lauren explains, and though embarrassed, she accepts Scott and Brenner’s offer to help with hashtag number six.
While hunting for hashtags, Lauren finds adventure and romance with her #Hottie, but she must stay focused to beat the clock and win the cash.

What a fun storyline…what wonderful characters…and what a great introduction to this talented new author!

This unique story captured my attention from the very beginning and held on tight.  The premise of the characters running around the city using their imaginations to take pictures for a hashtag contest is new and fresh.  And the fact that this book takes place over only one night adds to the speed of the story and kept me glued to the pages.  This book is definitely a roller coaster ride with the urgency of the Hashtag Hunt playing alongside the swoony romances.  Yes, I used the plural there.  In this book we’re treated to two love stories blossoming together – Lauren and Brenner and Scott (Sully) and Ivy.  The beauty of it all is that these romances are totally different with one being a slow burn and the other moving forward at a furious pace…and the book is that much better for it.  I really enjoyed watching these characters interact both as friends and in their budding relationships.  The banter was smart, sassy, and fast moving and the I, for one, loved everything about it.

When I think about my favorite television shows I find that I’m always drawn to those that are based on an ensemble cast – a group of friends, colleagues, or even complete strangers who find themselves all playing an equal part in the success of the show and in my enjoyment of the plot.  Why do I tell you this?  Well, to me, this book has an ensemble cast – four main characters.  And, even though Lauren and Brenner are truly the leads, Sully and Ivy add so much color to the story that I can’t imagine it without them.  And, speaking of Sully…he’s mine ladies…all mine!!  I absolutely love the way he thinks, the way he jokes, and the way he wears his heart on his sleeve! He’s sexy, swoony, and smart.  *sigh* I hope he gets his own book because I’ll gladly devour it!  In truth, I loved all these characters and would love to have them as friends in real life.  In just a few pages, these characters grow, learn, take on challenges, and experience a multitude of feelings.

This is a complex story of friendship, adventure, and love wrapped up in a deceptively simple package. I loved every minute of my time with these characters and I know you will too.  So don’t wait, get your copy today and meet Lauren, Brenner, Sully, Ivy…and Kristina, an author who is now on my one-click list and should be on yours too!
