Let’s say you’re an independent, self-sufficient woman who runs the family company and you find yourself falling for your little brother’s best friend. Now, more than ever, you need to count all the reasons why you need to abandon falling. Abandon Falling #1 – He’s a womanizer. Hasn’t had a serious relationship a day in his life and changes women more often than he changes his sheets. Abandon Falling #2 – He’s never serious. He cracks one-liners, mostly at your expense. Abandon Falling #3 – When things go wrong, he seems unfazed and always remains in control. It’s so annoying. Abandon Falling #4 – He has tattoos. Lots of them. Everywhere. Not to mention, he owns a tattoo parlor. (Damn it! Why doesn’t that sound like a bad thing anymore?) Abandon Falling #5 – There’s a growing list of how different you two are. You can’t get along for fifteen minutes—a lifetime together would land one of you in prison. Keep repeating those reasons and drown yourself in work. Pretend you don’t notice his good qualities or how enticing he looks without a shirt, and do not, I repeat, do not agree to live with the man while your place is being repaired from flood damage.

Trust me, even the strongest of us can only forego temptation for so long.

From the very beginning of this series I’ve been waiting for Savannah and Liam’s story.  And it did not disappoint!  I loved everything about this couple – his unwavering devotion to her and soft heart, and her internal struggles and desire to be somone different.  Although there were many back-and-forth moments…and times I wanted to smack some sense into them, I couldn’t help but root for them and believe that all would work out because these two were meant to be together.

For the first three books, we were shown Savannah’s serious side.  As one of the oldest Bailey siblings, she’s in charge of the family business and also responsible for her younger brothers and sisters.  This makes her a very serious person – one who is highly stressed and fearful of losing control.  However, in those sames stories, we were also treated by fleeting glimpses of her attraction to Liam…and her denial that it exists.  And, it’s this push and pull that gets explored here.  I loved learning about Liam’s softer side and finding out more about what makes him tick.  I also enjoyed watching his him do everything he could to make Savannah understand that they have a destiny together.  These two had wonderfully quick banter and I so enjoyed their road to romance.

These Bailey books are so entertaining and I’m very happy that there are many more to come.  This close-knit family, with it’s meddling grandmother and special cast of characters , has captured my heart.  I love that we get a glimpse into the Baileys in each book even as we’re focusing on one particular family member and I really enjoy those small clues to what going to happen next.  This series is fun, sweet, and romantic and I can’t want to see what happens in the next book (which, lucky for me, is already on my kindle).  Give the Bailey’s a try…I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time with them in Alaska!
