RIVERDALE meets INCEPTION in this twisty and unique YA coming-of-age romance.
Quarterback. Class president. Burnout. We all have our identities. Most of the time, they come from our circumstances. They’re made by others—shoes for us to walk in whether they fit or not. But what if? What if we could take off those shoes. What if we could wear a different pair? What if those boxes we put ourselves in are better…worse? And what if, when we do…we’re trapped there for good? They all call me Cowboy. She’s the damsel who doesn’t need to be rescued. And him…he’s the villain. This is our story. And this is how we want it to be told.

Have you ever been so enthralled by the very first few lines of a book that you did everything in your power to never put it down?  Well, I have…with Cowboy Villain Damsel Duel.  And yes, this book is just as deliciously different as it’s title.  Ms. Scott has managed to create a rabbit hole that I willingly jumped into in order to follow three characters that I fell in love with from the very beginning.

Now, I’m not planning to tell you anything about the actual story here.  See…other than to spout my love for this storyline and these characters, I don’t think there’s anything I can say without ruining the wonderful adventure that you need to experience.  The twists and turns, the mind-blowing situations, the ongoing suspense, and the creativity of this story will draw you in and hold on tight.  You will feel emotions…many, many emotions…in every chapter.  You’ll think you’ve figured it out but, trust me, you probably need to keep reading because there’s always something else around the next corner to leave you wide-eyed and amazed.  The adventure that Cowboy, Villain, and Damsel take you on will leave you breathless.

So, if you’re looking for a gem of a story, a well-written book that will stick with you long after you’ve closed the back cover, look no further.  Everything about this fantastic tale is bigger, brighter, more enticing…every situation has just the right amount of detail and every character has the power to capture your heart.  Even though I haven’t given you any insight, I still feel the need to ask a favor.  Please…take your time reading this book.  Now, you won’t want to, you’ll likely want to read it as quickly as possible to figure out the mystery.  But trust me, savor every page, every word, because it’ll end all too quickly and you’ll be left staring into space wondering how…what…where…why.  But, luckily, you’ll also be greatly satisfied and completely in love.  Thank you, Ms. Scott, for this epic adventure!
